Dannella Burnett

Owner, Consultant, Speaker

Dannella Burnett is a successful entrepreneur, speaker, author, and CEO and Founder of Oakwood Occasions, a world-class event marketing & management company that helps entrepreneurs and organizations share their passion, reach a greater audience, and build profitable relationships. She is also the owner and founder of Encore Elite Events, a full-service event and hospitably company that focuses on corporate event planning services. As a professional speaker, Dannella frequently speaks about topics related to women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, overcoming obstacles, and event best practices for maximizing influence and ROI. She is a creative force that believes in the concept of “multiple streams of income” and always finding a “win-win-win” solution for any problem or obstacle.

Dannella has worked in the culinary and special events industry since the age of 16. It all began with a love of food and inspiration from the well-known “Julia Child”. She has multiple degrees, including culinary arts and food service management from Johnson and Wales University. She earned gold medals in both London and Germany for the International Culinary Competitions, among the many awards she has received. Following college, she managed restaurants, catered and coordinated events, and produced weddings in Washington DC and Virginia. Dannella has always had the ability to bridge the gap between vision and execution. In 2001, Dannella moved to Georgia to be closer to a family. In 2009, when her husband lost his job in the construction field, Dannella created Oakwood Occasions to provide North Georgia with quality event solutions and to support her family. “Necessity may be the mother of invention, but mothers are inventive by necessity,” says Dannella.

In addition to full-service wedding consulting, corporate event planning and festival management, Oakwood Occasions also offers high end vending and coffee services. In 2011 Dannella created a second business, OO Fudge Factory which provides gourmet fudge for gift giving and is available nationally. Through creative relationships and always finding the win-win-win combination, Dannella brings everything to the table needed to make your event a tasty success!
